Which areas do you service and where is your office located?

Habitat Air operates throughout the Perth metropolitan area, as far north as Eglinton and extending all the way south to Mandurah. Our office is at Level 2, 302 Selby St, Osborne Park.

Which types of products do you offer?

We have a good range of quality products on offer, including the latest Fujitsu systems and controllers. Habitat Air provides reverse cycle ducted air conditioning, split system options, and up-to-date inverter systems with high quality components and equipment.

What’s the difference between the different types of air conditioning?

A split system is ideally designed to cool a single room or area – these are quiet to operate and can be more energy efficient than other options. A ducted system is designed to cool the whole house, generally with a zone system to control the temperature in a range of areas. Our ducted systems at Habitat Air are typically put in place during the construction of your home, ensuring that it is perfectly tailored to your lifestyle and needs.

What are the benefits of getting a ducted system?

At Habitat Air we encourage clients to include a ducted reverse cycle air conditioning system in their new home whilst under construction, as this saves a lot of time and money, meaning that your house will be comfortably temperature controlled from the get-go. A ducted system is a less obtrusive option than other forms of air conditioning such as wall mounted split systems, and are ideal for cooling large areas, such as open plan living spaces.

What do you mean by ‘zoning’ in ducted systems?

Our ducted systems generally come with zone control, which allows you to dictate which areas are heated and cooled individually; for example, having separate zones for bedrooms and living areas, or upstairs and downstairs, or for daytime and night-time. The bigger the house, the more zones you may want or need to have.

Which factors help decide what I should get?

There are a lot of factors that can decide what your system will be like – if you’re not sure, just get in touch with us and we’ll go through your options. Some of these are the size and orientation of your house, the construction materials, the number of people living in the home, and the usage of each area.

What does it mean if the air conditioning is reverse cycle?

The term ‘reverse cycle’ means that the air conditioning system is able to heat your home as well as cool it; this makes it a safer and more economical form of heating than the traditional options. They are also able to filter and dehumidify the air, all from one main unit.

What do you mean by an ‘inverter’?

Inverter systems are a new, more innovative form of air conditioning that operates quietly, cools and heats quickly, and provides significant energy savings. Our Fujitsu inverter systems keep your running costs to a minimum, ensuring that your unit is affordable and will last the test of time.
